WANTED WEDNESDAY

"do unto others as you
would do unto yourself"
-Golden Rule, Golden Law

When living anywhere, unless your secluded from the rest of the world living on your own private island, your never really alone because there is someone living to either your left, right, or both.  Not every neighbor is your average "Cosby" family nor the "Brady Bunch" family.  Some can be neighbors from hell!!  We are here to give our tips on how to handle the situations that may occur.

PROPERTY DISPUTES
Situations may occur both in a house or appt, however particularly when residing in a house two parties are sure to have conflict over property issues.  This can include arguments over trash cans and or trash going into one another yards, households that share a driveway, even a huge tree grown in between yards and the argument is debating who is responsible for the payment to rid of it.
NOISE CONTROL
Some have the neighbors who are too quiet where you might wonder what is going on in that house.  Consider yourself lucky compared to the people who have neighbors that don't have no self control when it comes to the level of noise blaring from their apartment or house.  This includes the "Project X" party going on next door or even waking up early morning (on your day off or not) to Drake blasting from a stereo.
NEIGHBOR ANNOYANCE'S
There are certain acts that a person may absolutely not tolerate from their neighbor.  These acts include drinking alcoholic beverages or smoking in front of or near by a persons home residence.  Where you can actually smell the smoke from in your own home.  Some people take it as far as knocking on another persons door consistently to ask for favors.  In example sugar, butter, even money.
RESOLUTIONS
  • Act appropriately.  Once the first occurrence happens don't approach right away, unless something severe is occurring.  If not, give it some time to evaluate if the first occurrence will be the last occurrence.
  • Mediation is always a great starter to fixing a conflict between one or more persons involved.  Try inviting one another over to have a civilized talk about the issue at hand.  Make sure to even jot down notes before meeting to make sure you bring forth all points of your argument.  Hopefully everyone will be mature enough to come to a solution without using any verbal threats or physical violence.
  •  If mediation is not successful and trying to talk things through and come to an agreement is not working either then you will have to pull out the big guns and we don't mean "guns" we mean Litigation.  You will end up having to seek legal advice and further handling the matter in court.

    TASTEFUL TUESDAYS

“Pull up a chair. Take a taste. Come join us. Life is so endlessly delicious.”

    Ruth Reichl

At the Brooklyn Moon restaurant, pulling up a chair and taking a taste will definitely make life so endlessly delicious!!  Located on Fulton St in the urban area of Clinton Hills Brooklyn sits this hotspot that is perfect for early morning brunches or even late night wining and dining.

Their menu is described as Southern, New American, Caribbean with mouth watering picks to choose from.  We reccommend, as we've desired , the Lobster Pancake which is grilled tilapia over a garlic mashed potato pancake stuffed with lobster and mixed vegetables.  Their Salmon and "Brooklyn" Crab Cakes are cooked to perfection and we can never forget their southern driven sides which includes creamy Mac & Cheese, Sweet Corn, Spicy Fries, Candied Yams, Curry Potato, Collard Greens and much more.  For all the salad eaters enjoy a Grilled Salmon Ceasar, Cajun soft shell Crab, or Grilled Shrimp as a twist to the ever so ending chicken ceasar which is topped with avocado, grilled tomato and plantain with parmesan cheese.

We couldnt have a successful Saturday night out without having a drink or two!!  Having asked whats the best served the winner is "The Hater"!!!

    MUSIC MONDAY

"I see niggaz slammin her, and takin her to the sewer
But I'ma take her back hopin that the shit stop
Cause who I'm talkin bout y'all is hip-hop"

-Common (I Used to Love Her)

We don't know about you, but we're definitely tired of hearing the same ole' same on the airways. It seems like every hour on the hour you hear your favorite songs run down into the ground by disc jockeys. What happen to playing the hottest unheard tunes by up and coming mystery artist? What happened to formulating such a buzz it lands them to instant stardom?

We guess we need to accept the ways of the 80's baby's is long surpassed, and the 90's have come and gone. So could the new generation of hip hop lead to something more profound? A lot of times  we hear that artist like Lil B, and Tyler The Creator are bringing a new wave of music but is it more substantial? Do these new artist stand up; surpassing the legends like Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, more recently Biggie,Tupac, Common, Dmx, Wu- Tang or Nas?! I think we can all agree that Hip Hop's new generation has left us with a serious void. Not just lyrically but somehow in culture as well. However, when one door shuts another opens. So the silver lining would be that hip hop has become less prolific and more mainstream. Embracing diversity; using influences of country, and even rock and roll. Where will the evolution of Hip Hop lead? We'll just have to enjoy the ride until it's over.

But until then we at 1stClassLadies will continue to bring new artist to  the forefront, so that you can see all there is to offer... With that said, we bring you Fhaze. Wondering who he is and what he's about well we're sure to cover all basis to satisfy your curiosity.

           A Lil Northern Hospitality.....

Fhayze, born and raised in Charlotte, NC, is a 23 year old aspiring rap artist. Influenced not only Hip Hop, but various genres of music, he hopes to reach out to different avenues and gain maximum exposure. "In my opinion, most artist are skeptical about thinking outside of the box and experiencing with music they are not use to, in fear that they might loose their original fan base". Fhayze hopes to put an end to that with his upcoming "Apologies RN Order" Mix Tape, set to release in the summer of 2012.

A member of the U.S. Army since 2007, he has been stationed in various locations overseas, including South Korea and Afghanistan, where he is currently deployed until January 2012. He believes his experience in the service plays a major factor on the music he makes today. "During my time in the service, I have seen allot, been through allot, and met so many different kinds of individuals. I try to use those experiences in my music." With his departure from Afghanistan forthcoming , Fhayze intends to focus more on music and have a major influence on the entertainment industry.

To get more of a feel for Fhayze's sound and him as a artist. Check his behind the scenes take for his new single "Ray Bans and Rubberbands". Also be sure to check him out as he performs at Webster Hall in New York, April 30, 2012 !!!

    WANTED WEDNESDAYS

"consumers are doing it for themselves"

    Trina- 1STCLASSLADIES

Ever purchase something and it doesn’t meet your expectations??  Most products come with a money back guarantee but what about a purchase that goes beyond that swifter that promises to pick up every bit of dust and dirt from off your floors and when it doesn’t hold its value you just send in your money back request for a promised refund that you’ll be waiting so long to receive you’ll forget you even put in for one!!  Well BIG name companies should beware!!!

As the economy continues to be rocky in certain areas though others have strengthened a bit consumers have to be cautious and careful when spending their hard earned money on various things in life.  Cell phone plans, vehicles to drive, appliances for their home, etc.  A lot of things aren’t always guaranteed but consumers are speaking out; if my money is put into it, IT BETTER BE!!   Some big names aren’t holding up to their words of satisfaction guaranteed and us the consumers are making their cases heard in small claims court, further more WINNING!!

It was reported by US weekly that a woman named Heather Peters of Los Angeles actually sued Honda in small claims court and won.  Her claim was that the Civic Hybrid she had purchased didn’t meet its claims for gas mileage.  She was awarded $9,867!!

Both consumers named Matt Spaccarelli of California and Henry Brown of New York sued AT&T.  Brown was awarded $1,587.50 suing for frequently dropped wireless calls and still telling him he would have to pay the early termination fee when he opted to leave the company.  Spaccarelli was awarded $850 for AT&T slowing down the data service on his IPhone ( and the rest of the world who shares similar plan) when he hit a limit for downloads, even though he had an “UNLIMITED DATA” plan.

Consumers might under estimate their power as a consumer.  Without the consumer there is no PRODUCT!!  We are who makes the product of any value and if we don’t see that value as fit there has to be some payback from these companies who make billions!!
