Music Monday

"One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain."
                                                                         ~ Bob Marley

                                                                 Brooklyn's  Smooth Lyricist
When I first encountered our next MC, I didn't know what          to expect, but after a formal introduction from a mutual friend. It became clear to me that he is indeed a step above the rest. This BK native knows how to entice the ears of his listeners with punchlines that enforce his overall messages. His hunger for his art is evident, in the way that he demands the presence of those listening to his lyrics. However, like a true gentleman he suavely pulls you in with his cunning looks and humble demeanor. Painting visuals with his hit single "Photo In Motion" it's clear to see his influences are some of the greats. From DMX, The Lox,  to Mobb Deep he has enriched himself to master the craft of being a true artist. and we can't wait for the full masterpiece that is MAZE MARLEY to be revealed.

1CL: What is your genre of music?
MM: Honestly, my music can't be defined! I rap and I also sing. Versatility defines a true artist and i am a true artist. and I am a true artist. When I play my full cd for people, they constantly ask if "that's me" when the tract changes and I love that!!
1CL: If there was anyone you could sit and exchange ideas with past/present who would it be and why?

MM: This is a great question because; if I could exchange ideas with anyone it would have to be Jay Z. I feel he's successful not only in the music world but i the business world as well.  I am twenty-two yrs old and I am a business owner, so i feel he would be able to give me some really great pointers on juggling my business as well as my music career.
1CL: How would you describe your sound?
MM: I would describe my sound in four words... "Breath Of Fresh Air". I have an aggressive  flow that the fellas' will definitely rock with; yet smooth enough to capture  the ears of these lovely young ladies. as far as punch lies are concerned, I feel I have the wittiest in the game but i will leave that up to the listener to decide.
1CL: When performing what do you do to reach  your audience?
MM: When I am performing. I like to get as  up close and personal to my audience as possible. I love to joke around with my crowd to break my ice, I love to step off stage and be close to my audience so they can feel my presence.
1CL: Do you feel Hip Hop is dead?? If so what can you do to revive it?
MM: Actually.. I wouldn't say Hip Hop is dead as a whole, but I do feel it is suffering in some areas from surviver injuries. In my opinion, I don't feel that artist are staying true to themselves or their environments. They are just selling out to sell records. I remember when being cool was cool, and being lame was lame. Now the lames are cool and the cool guys are lame! So to the people who feel that Hip Hop is dead.. I feel Maze Marley is the savior; myself and my production team ( New Grind City ) bring a whole new sound to this music industry that we all love. It is only a matter of time before my music is pumping through your speakers.
1CL: What has been your most humbling/ rewarding experience as a artist thus far? My most rewarding experience thus far has definitely been when Source1media/Dpnfilms flew all the way out from Miami, FL to shoot my video for my hit single  "Photo In Motion". That was truly a honor and a blessing.
1CL: What's your next project?
MM: My next project is my highly anticipated EP titled "Made for Fame", it is being produced by the youngest producer in charge right now New Grind City's own Gene Bell. Each track that will appear on the EP was selected from a range of forty original tracks, so be prepared for something epic.
1CL: What do you want to tell your future fans/supporters?

MM:  I would like to tell my future fans and supporters, thank you for taking the time out of your lives to enter my world! I LOVE YOU ALL..and I will go miles to keep you entertained. So please keep supporting (New Grind City) and #TeamMazeMarley. I have a tremendous amount of material coming your way; so if you thought this was good. it is only the beginning.
1CL: Where can people reach you for more info you and your music?
