WANTED WEDNESDAYS

"consumers are doing it for themselves"

Trina- 1STCLASSLADIES

Ever purchase something and it doesn’t meet your expectations??  Most products come with a money back guarantee but what about a purchase that goes beyond that swifter that promises to pick up every bit of dust and dirt from off your floors and when it doesn’t hold its value you just send in your money back request for a promised refund that you’ll be waiting so long to receive you’ll forget you even put in for one!!  Well BIG name companies should beware!!!

As the economy continues to be rocky in certain areas though others have strengthened a bit consumers have to be cautious and careful when spending their hard earned money on various things in life.  Cell phone plans, vehicles to drive, appliances for their home, etc.  A lot of things aren’t always guaranteed but consumers are speaking out; if my money is put into it, IT BETTER BE!!   Some big names aren’t holding up to their words of satisfaction guaranteed and us the consumers are making their cases heard in small claims court, further more WINNING!!

It was reported by US weekly that a woman named Heather Peters of Los Angeles actually sued Honda in small claims court and won.  Her claim was that the Civic Hybrid she had purchased didn’t meet its claims for gas mileage.  She was awarded $9,867!!

Both consumers named Matt Spaccarelli of California and Henry Brown of New York sued AT&T.  Brown was awarded $1,587.50 suing for frequently dropped wireless calls and still telling him he would have to pay the early termination fee when he opted to leave the company.  Spaccarelli was awarded $850 for AT&T slowing down the data service on his IPhone ( and the rest of the world who shares similar plan) when he hit a limit for downloads, even though he had an “UNLIMITED DATA” plan.

Consumers might under estimate their power as a consumer.  Without the consumer there is no PRODUCT!!  We are who makes the product of any value and if we don’t see that value as fit there has to be some payback from these companies who make billions!!
