MAKEUP MONDAY

"Beauty, to me, is about being comfortable in your own skin. That, or a kick-ass red lipstick."
                                 Red Is Just....Right!

Its something about red lipstick that makes woman feel confident as well as secure in their own skin. It can be descried as glamour, sophistication and allure. It has it's own swag that makes a mans jaw drop at the sight of it. Claiming the title as the ultimate method of sex appeal, red lipstick has come a long way from the "tramp stamp" it was once called. We fast forward to present time and it seems like if you don't own a shade of red lipstick your not in the now and need to step your game up. Any age, lip type or skin shade can pull off the red lip look which is why its become such a statement. In a crowded room a woman's red lips are sure to stand out and so is her personality! She is the center of the party whether she is trying to be or not. People cant help but watch her and deep inside whether she wants to admit it or not is loving it!

Tis the Season to go RED!! No lip is unworthy, no shade is unwearable- It works for us ALL!! Here is how to go about making it right for you.

Shades for all colors!

  • It's All About The Face. The paler the skin the brighter the shade should be given off a bigger pop. You don't need loud eye shadows and things. Go soft with the rest of your make up so all focus is drawn to the lips.
  • Stay Inside The Line. Ashunta Sheriff is a make artist and suggest that filling in your lips before applying red lipstick will eliminate bleeding of the lipstick.
  • Red Is A No Go. Do not clash red lips with red nails it tends to be over the top. Use a clear or light color instead. However, if you feel compelled to use red nail polish it should be the exact color that is on your lips.
  • Blending For 2012. Sometimes its hard to find the right red color so make up artist have started blending colors togetherto geth just the right red.
