TOP 12 FINANCIAL GOALS FOR 2012

In this economy people are facing very difficult hardships when it comes to their financial statuses. Whether your faced with it or not there is always room for positive financial growth.

With employment loses in the past but getting better this is the time for everyone to concentrate on what they can do now so if facing hardships in the future they will have made the right decisions to have something to fall back on.  This consist of savings accounts, insurance policies, children's college funds, stock and bonds, etc.

1STCLASSLADIES has teamed up to give you our Top 12 Financial Goals for 2012.

PRIORITIES FIRST: The first goal is to allows practice to take care of your priorities first.  Rent, Car-Note, Daycare Fees, Groceries, all necessities before Luxury.  In the words of one 1STCLASSLADY "Dont have fresh nails done but your lights are turned off.

CREDIT:  Nowadays everything you do is based on your credit.  The purchase of a home, vehicle, even employment in some cases.  If needing to do so improve your credit.  Check for your credit score and review your credit report.  Pay off any delinquent accounts in making the proper steps to increase your credit status.

SAVINGS: Anyway to budget your money is definitely in what you save.  Whether you take one dollar a day and place it in a shoe box until the end of the year, its still saving.  More commonly open up an savings account through your banking institution.

COLLEGE FUNDS: If you have a child or children you start looking into College Funds.  The cost of tuition is, how do we put this, "CRAZY."  If enrolling as a full time student in a four year university the average tuition in America is $9000!! If enrolling in a two year the average is $3000!! Thats not even including books and other necessities.  Start checking now through your bank if offering any college fund programs or even through your place of employment.

INVESTMENTS: Another goal that may be beneficial if dealing with the right economy depending on how things are at the time would be to invest.  Check for different stocks that you may can invest in by checking the 10K which is an annual filing available to investors about specific companies.  You can also invest through your 401K if applicable.

DEBT: If in any debt situations try to rid of it.  You might be going into 2012 that way with 2011's lingering issues but Do Not let it linger into the New Year too long.  Call creditors and seek payment plans that can help you pay off delinquent accounts in timely fashion.

REOCCURRING BAD HABITS:  Everyone has some kind of bad habit.  It could be over spending your money or even paying bills late so forth and so forth.  Do Not bring these habits into 2012. Take a minute to think of what is causing you to have such a messy pattern and take back control of your finances.

I PAY MY BILLS ON TIME:  Another issue many face is late bill payment!!  There are times when funds are insufficient at the time when something calls to be paid.  We've all been there.  However many institutions are charging outrageous late fee's.  Whether its a credit card bill or a utility bill try and use better budgeting skills to be prepared when something is due.  If the funds just aren't available at the time, at least call in and inform the company of when payment will be available thus giving them the benefit of the doubt and also possibly scoring you a waiver of the late fees with their concern.

LIFE INSURANCE PROTECTION:  This is a must!! If you have a family you need to invest in a life insurance policy that will protect your loved ones should anything happen to you.  Check with your employer or you can even use companies such as Met Life or New York Life.

OVER DRAFTING:  With many banking institutions there is the enemy called "Over Drafting."  Too many people have this problem and although allowing you access to a full tank of gas with only 50 cents in your pocket, you wont be left with much after and it only hurts you in the long run.  See some banks allow you to over spend out of your checking account but with a penalty which in average is around $35.  If not replacing that overdrawn money in your account in a timely fashion some banks will charge you an extended overdrawn fee around $20.  By the time you've gotten through those fees that $40 tank of gas actually cost you $95!!! #CRAY

BEYOND MEANS:  Do Not shop on a Kim K, {Ummm Hmmm Ladies} or Kanye West {Ummm Hmmm Fellas} BUDGET if you are realistically facing money woes like Jermaine Dupri!!! On a serious note for 2012 do not live about your means trying to keep up with what society presents.  You can still be stylish and keep money in your pockets!!

PLAN B: Last on our list but certainly most important is to ALWAYS HAVE A PLAN B!!!
