Thoughts For Thursday

America's fighting men and women sacrifice much to ensure that our great nation stays free. We owe a debt of gratitude to the soldiers that have paid the ultimate price for this cause, as well as for those who are blessed enough to return from the battlefield unscathed. -Allen Boyd

Home Sweet Home......
He is someones uncle. She is someones mom. They left behind friends, family, neighbors, even their children to become hero's. Willing to sacrifice their own lives in order to keep our country safe. To keep to us free. Taking the title as the longest war in U.S. history while claiming the lives of over 4,400 men and woman and wounding an estimated 32,000, 1stclassladies is more then proud and pleased to say THE WAR IS OVER AND OUR SOLDIERS ARE COMING HOME. Everyday of every year (almost 9yrs to be exact) some soldier is starring at a picture of their new baby boy while another is tracing over the words written in a card sent from home both asking the same question- when will this end??

The officials for the U.S. as well as Iraqi have spent so much time trying to decipher whether to honor the December 31, 2011 troop withdrawal deadline which was set into play by former President Bush in 2008. Some are worried the withdrawal is happing to fast and we should leave a few military troops in Iraqi for a while after the new year. However it was reported that "Iraqi leaders have adamantly refused to give U.S. troops immunity from prosecution in Iraqi courts, and the Americans have refused to stay without it."

over 100,000 troops have returned home from Iraqi already. As excited as we are and want to celebrate, we are pronounced with yet another serious question- what happens for our soldiers now?? T he reality is a soldier will never return home as the same man or woman they once were. Some have a tuff time adjusting to life they once lived. Some become so used to the battle that relaxation is not an option and they don't know what to do with themselves. A simple slam of the front door can trigger a war memory causing a trooper to grab his/her gun which they still sleep with underneath their pillow. As much as this changes their lives, it also changes that of their loved ones. A husband may not know how to console his wife through a breakdown while a father may not recognize the distant person his son a become. Well we feel as much as our troops have done for us, its now our turn to take care of them!!
Understand that we can not change what our soldiers have been through but we can help ease it and make the rest of their lives better. They were on the front line for use now its time for us to be their herosw!!! 1stClassLadies would personally like to thank the not only the soldiers but the family and friends of those men and women. You were their strive. You were their strength. That make u a warrior too!!!!
Here are ways to help our Soldiers coming home!!
