What: TD FIVE BORO BIKE TOUR

Where: Battery Place at Greenwich St

                New York, NY

Starts at Battery Pl at Greenwich St. More than 30,000 bikers will be able to enjoy a scenic 40-mile, traffic-free spin through the five boroughs during this 35th annual mass ride. Advance registration is required if you want to take part—last year's tour sold out the day after registration opened, though charity or VIP spots may still be available closer to the event. Onlookers can take in the event without having to pedal at a festival held at Staten Island's Fort Wadsworth.

Where: Lower East Side Manhattan

This pretty, tree-lined Lower East Side market packs in shoppers every weekend with a killer combination of stylish vintage wares—retro jewelry, antique decor and old-fashioned hats—and one of the best collections of food vendors in Manhattan. Delicious new stalls include Williamsburg darling Pies and Thighs, artisanal ice cream parlor Ample Hill Creamery and boozy cupcakery Prohibition Bakery.
